I have lived in Sicily
for more than thirty years. I am a plastic artist. But I am also a translator
and a scholar of the Byzantine heritage in Sicily. I have taught artistic
subjects, foreign languages and computer science. I have researched the artistic
and cultural heritage, published articles, organized conferences on the
historical and cultural heritage of Sicily and led groups of tourists and
individuals around Sicily.
Born in the former USSR
(1954), Faculty of Economics in Chisinau (1974), internship and doctoral
attendance at the Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk (1975 – 1982). I lived in
Bucharest (Romania) between 1982 and 1992, where I studied art.
In Italy since 1992.
Owner of an art studio. I produce works of pictorial art, applied art, stained
glass windows and ceramics, sacred art.
Registered in the
Register of Translators and Interpreters at the Court of Catania for the
Russian and Romanian languages, I provide interpreter service in hearings, I
offer translator and interpreter services for public bodies and private
individuals.
Adjunct Professor (1998 -
1999) with the University of Catania of Russian Language (sectoral languages of
the scientific area) in the University Diploma for Translators and
Interpreters.
Lecturer in Russian
language (languages in motion, applied linguistics and communication
strategies), 2007, in the SISSIS courses in Catania.
Adjunct Professor of
Russian Language and Linguistics at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of
the University of Palermo, 2009-2010.
